Authors and reviewers

Trust starts with saying exactly who is responsible.

Bestead will not invent people, borrow clinical credentials, or imply professional review that did not occur. This directory reflects the contributor information we can currently verify.

Current attribution

Bestead Editorial Team

This is an organizational byline, not a person, medical credential, or claim of independent clinical review.

Role

Product and editorial accountability

The Bestead Editorial Team is responsible for aligning public guides with the current product, checking cited sources, maintaining non-clinical boundaries, and correcting published material.

Where a guide currently lists the same organization as author and reviewer, readers should understand that as an internal editorial check—not independent review and not review by a licensed clinician.

Profile standard

What a named contributor page must show.

A name alone is not a trust signal. The details must be relevant, verifiable, and connected to specific work.

01

Real identity and role

The person's name, current role, and relationship to Bestead.

02

Relevant experience

Experience that actually relates to the pages written or reviewed, without inflated titles.

03

Verified credentials

Licensure, degree, or certification only when current, confirmable, and relevant to the claimed review.

04

Disclosures

Employment, payment, product involvement, commercial interests, and other material conflicts.

05

Connected work

A stable list of the guides the person authored or reviewed and the type of review performed.

What we do not claim

No implied clinician behind the curtain.

Bestead does not currently present a named clinician, medical board, academic partner, certified parenting expert, or independent research team on this directory.

If that changes, the contributor and relationship will be named clearly. Until then, product copy and editorial pages remain explicitly educational and self-guided.
